  • Our Insulating Blankets with eyelets, without eyelets, or slotted with eyelets and are available in Class 2 & 4. These blankets come in Type I natural rubber or Type II which is a highly flexible, corona-resistant polymer with excellent aging and weathering qualities
  • Class 0 Lo-Voltage Insulating Blankets are Type I. Class 4 Primary Insulating Blankets are Type II
  • We also offer many accessories for fastening and protecting our insulating blankets.

  • Protect your workers from lo-voltage electrical hazards with our Insulating Shielding material on a roll. Made from high strength fabric reinforced Type II rubber, workers can custom-cut from the roll to fit each application
  • Blankets are highly puncture & tear resistant, flame (self-extinguishing), oil and ozone resistant
  • Color coded for Class and voltage
  • Or choose our 7.5kv Class 1 clear PVC roll that permits complete visibility while providing the necessary insulating properties meeting ASTM F1742 standards.

  • Arc Suppression Blankets are used as a barrier for protection from the explosive and incendiary effects of electrical arcs and flashes. They can be used for worker protection in underground vaults, switchyards and other locations where there is a potential of exposure to explosive electrical discharges
  • CAUTION: Because of the unpredictability of electrical discharges, the Arc Suppression Blanket may not totally contain arcs and flashes, but only reduce or limit exposure and incendiary effects. In such cases, injuries may still occur, even when the blanket is properly used.

Switchboard matting is permanently placed in front of switchgear, motor control centers and other high voltage apparatus to provide personal protection for workers
  • A+ Safety offers 4 styles of Switchboard Matting
  • Style M is a corrugated high-quality Type II rubber which meets ASTM D178, Class 2 and Class 4 specifications.

  • Style 712 has a vinyl diamond plate surface and meets Military Spec 15562-F Amend.3, type III.
Also offered is our URD/Switchboard Blanket

Self Testing Voltage Detector Kits allow testing to be continuous and auitomatic. An intermittent flash and disbeep confirms the detector is functioning proper with it's extra bright LED light and distinctive audio signal
  • Used to verify live or de-energized conductors
  • may be used with insulating rubber gloves or hot sticks using the splined universal end fitting
  • Recommended that the tester be moved closer to the conductor until a warning is indicasted, or it touchs the conductor, apparatus, or test point
  • Made of non-conductive material, it will not cause an arc flash even if contact with energized equipment is made
  • Includes 3 "C" batteries
